SALINGSING joins journ workshop; 2 awards bagged

             SALINGSING staffers, together with their school paper adviser Mrs. Erlyn F. Lauron, emerged victorious as they reaped 2 awards in the 3-day Campus Journalism Seminar-Workshop organized by Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region VI last October 9-11, 2019 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Iloilo City.              "I feel overwhelmed. PIA-6 Spearheads 2019 Journ Seminar-Workshop

         ILOILO CITY -- The first leg of the Campus Journalism Seminar-Workshop 2019, with the theme "Journalism, Peace and Development", took place last October 9-11 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall.         "This is the best place for you to unlearn, relearn and learn new things about journalism.", says Mr. Leonard Pineda I, PIA-6 Regional Training Officer, during his opening speech to officially start the said event.          The 3-day seminar-workshop was participated by school paper journalists, together with their advisers, from different SUC's all across Iloilo City and Capiz Province.           "There is nothing more noble than helping others by doing your job." - Mr. Pineda, in one of his lectures, addressing the need for writers to be honed properly to promote responsible journalism.           The training module of the seminar includes Editorial, News...
      CapSU bags Gawad KALASAG award                    For three years  For the third time Capiz State University got the first spot in Gawad KALASAG, higher education category during the 21St  Gawad KALASAG Awarding Ceremony by the Regional Disaster Risk Management Council at Smalville Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo on September 6,2019   Dr.  Editha Alfon, CapSU-University President received the award together with VP for Research, Dr. Lucy Beluso, University Director,DRRM, and NSTP,  coordinators .      CapSU DRMM headed by Dr.  Van Aliligay and Dr.  Elmer Albaladejo , NSTP, Director, call everybody to continue the advocay and collaborating in building a safe and reselient community even without limelight or funfare. 

Curricula harmonization

                              BEEd, BSCrim, DVM &BSA                             programs harmonize curricula  Program chairs and faculty members coming from campuses with the program offerrings to wit: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine,  and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture gathered to harmonize and enhance the course content and description of courses of the said programs. In sddtion, this is to endure that all campuses in the university follow a uniform one. ISO Audit

            CapSU Dumarao submits for                       ISO Internal Audit August 13-14,2019- The College submits for ISO Internal Audit. This is to ensure that the college observe quality and standard services to students in terms of administration, academic or instruction and other services anchored to the functions of the college. CapSU Dayao headed by Team Leader Dr. Doreen Ataal conducted the two-day audit.

                              CapSU Dumarao submits  for  students services a ssessment  August 28,2019- CapSU Dumarao submits for the assessment of student affairs and services. This aims to assess the services offer by the College specifically of the Office of the Student Affairs to students that contribute to their holistic development as a prime clientele of the institution. Orientation Program 2019

Starting college can cause much confusion i n the heart of a new college student because of all the unknowns.  So as to answer the inquiries of the students, CapSU Dumarao conducted an Orientation Program last August 19, 2019.
                   CapSU submits for Gawad KALASAG                    national validation National evaluators  team from Manila visit eight campuses of Capiz State University,  and on July 24,2019, they had a last visit at CapSU Dumarao to validate the Risk Reduction Plan of the Campus which is to be implemented this 2019. CapSU is a Gawad KALASAG awardee for three years. This means that it showed exemplary performance in executing the preparedness and agility during the fire and earthquake drill conducted. 
         CapSU joins in combating dengue Dengue cases are now getting higher in the Philippines. Hence, Capiz State University joins hand with other agencies both public and private in the country in the  prevention and stopping its outbreak by  taking initiatives. One of which is the conduct of 4 o'clock habit in the campus everyday to make sure that classrooms and surroundings are clean. Teachers are also informed to advise students to seek early consultation if signs  and symptoms such as fever for two days, joint pains, nausea and vomiting and abdominal pains are experienced. Likewise, every college/campus is advised to create Dengue Monitoring team who will monitor students with Dengue signs. The University as a whole also suspend the wearing of school uniforms for students instead wear long pants, long sleeves and knee high socks until September 2019.

Folks on salted egg making Literacy prog for kindergarten                Residents receives salted egg        and  siomai making trainin Residents of Brgy. Ongol Ilaya, Dumarao, Capiz enjoyed the privilege  as recipients of this year's CapSU-Dumarao BRANDED extension program. The extension group comprised of faculty and staff of the aforementioned University provided them a three-day training on salted egg and siomai making, self-defense and literacy,June 26-28, 2019.

            CapSU Dumarao fam             starts up planting trees June 25,2919- In line with the yearly tree planting program of the province of Capiz,CapSU Dumarao faculty and staff headed by Dr. Teresita Oducado, satellite college director, begins planting trees at the vicinity of the campus.This is to show their continued commitment in preserving our planet specifically the said province. Dr. Mario Lago,Tree planting, chair starts the activity by demonstrating how to plant seedings properly.  Each faculty and staff is tasked to plant three seedlings. #1in1 #1miliiontressin1day #GogreenCapiz
