SALINGSING joins journ workshop; 2 awards bagged



             SALINGSING staffers, together with their school paper adviser Mrs. Erlyn F. Lauron, emerged victorious as they reaped 2 awards in the 3-day Campus Journalism Seminar-Workshop organized by Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region VI last October 9-11, 2019 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Iloilo City.

             "I feel overwhelmed. Despite being here for the first time, I was still able to get an award." , says Jeorgie Dela Cruz, after receiving his certificate for Promising Editorial Writer (Filipino).

             Christian Telesforo, Editor-in-Chief, Joshua Gaspar, Associate Editor and Jsah Myrl Humpay, Literary Editor also grabbed certificates for Most Promising Layout and Design for Newspaper.


             During his talk, PIA-6 Training In-Charge Mr. Leonard Pineda I speaks about journalists being torchbearers of the community, implying that they are responsible for giving light and hope for the freedom of speech.
