CapSU Dumarao submits for ISO Internal Audit 2022        Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College submits for ISO Internal Audit, November 7-9. Five Internal auditors from CapSU Dayao led by Team Leader, Dr. Grazl Baria with her members, Dr. Doreen Ata-al. Engr. Louella Dadivas, Dr. Christa Hope Corroz, and Ms. Julienne Krismarie Delino  conducted the monitoring or audit of different offices/departments of the College.            This three-day activity aims to monitor and check the processes/functions necessary to the department/area, to verify conformity with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements as well as  ISO 9001:2015 requirements, follow up on the results of the previous audits and obtain and maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification in preparation for the upcoming ISO External Audit on December 2022.

  CapSU Dumarao marks its 40 th Foundation Anniversary The Caravan T he celebration of  40 th  Foundation Anniversar y of   Capiz State University Dumaro Satellite College  kicked off, October 14, 2022, 7:00 am with the caravan from CapSU Dumarao going to Bry. Ongol bridge. Faculty, staff and students from four departments; Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Teacher Education Department, Criminology Department, and Agriculture Department wore designated color and waived their balloons , and flaglets as they traversed the route of the said caravan.        Student-volunteers undergo  two-day capacity building Student-volunteers who are second year  and third year teacher education students  underwent t wo- day  capacity building on the implementation of Projects VENTURES of CapSU Dumarao Teacher Education,  Extension program  and  Project ERNEEST of Aglalana Integrated School. Abelito, both are professors from Criminology Department attended t he BS Criminology Curriculum Streamlining on Capiz State University- Dayao Satellite College. This activity was a compliance to the requirement of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to meet the number of units required by the said agency and as well as to harmonize the course codes for General Education courses (GEC) in BS Fisheries, BS Food Technology, BS Criminology, BS Computer Science, and BS Information Technology.                        CapSU Dum and  Estefania Montemayor NHS launch project, sign MOA September 28, 2022- L aunching Ceremony and MOA Signing of Project VENTURES of CapSU Dumarao Teacher Education Department & Project REACH UP of Estefania Montemayor NHS. This another collaboration project of CapSU TED Extension Program with Estefania Montemayor NHS aims to help struggling learners in reading and numeracy on becoming functional readers and numerates.                                Criminology dept heads peace advocacy symposium      Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College with the initiative of Criminology Department head by Mr. Romar Tawas spearheaded the Peace Symposium on Anti-Illegal Drugs and Anti-Insurgency, October 5, 2022.     The invited resource speakers of the said activity were from 12 Infantry Battalion, 31st Division, Philippine Army, Camp. Gen. Carreon , Calinog, Iloilo,602 Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion Region VI, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Region VI , 2nd Maneuver Platoon, 2nd Capiz MFC, and Dumarao Municipal Police Station.   The activity aimed to assist in the government advocacy in promoting peace and order thru student's involvement as well as  to raise their awareness on illegal drugs and anti-insurgency.

          CAPSU Dumarao joins the SEAMEO-TVET Virtual Student Exchange Program                                     vet, agri exchange studs for Indonesia Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College  joins the SEAMEO-TVET, 1st Batch Virtual Student Exchange Program that commence from  August  22, 2022 and ends on September  22, 2022 as part of i nternationalization activities of the University. Six  veterinary of medicine and agriculture students participate in the said virtual student exchange program focusing on animal science between P angkep State Polytechnic of Agriculture (POLIPANGKEP), Indonesia and Capiz State University. CapSU Dumarao  submits for University's monitoring and evaluation August 8, 2022- Capiz State Dumarao Satellite College submits for monitoring and evaluation for the period January to June 2022 headed by Prof. Mark Glenn Villamore acting as team leader in behalf of Dr. Wennie Legario, VP for Finance & Administration.  This quarterly evaluation of the University was conducted to ensure that school's programs, activities and services  are on the right track in attaining its vision and mission.   CapSU Dum faculty and staff join educator's night 2022 Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College joined  Educator's Night ,August 2, 2022 at Dumarao Sports Complex. The event with cowboy and cow girl themed was participated by educators from Department of Education both elementary and secondary  schools from municipality of Dumarao, Capiz including CapSU Dumarao. Atty. Mateo Hachiela, municipal mayor, shared his message on the versatility and vitality of educators in nation and youth building. Vice-Mayor Belmar Dampog, Rev. Fr. Erwin Bombaes,parish priest SB Fernando Allianza and SB Karen Hallarda, Dr. Angel Payo Jr, district supervisor, school heads from  elementary and secondary schools and retired school heads graced the event. Performances  rendered by the  participating schools, raffle draw, and mass dance highlighted the said event. .

38th campus faculty symposium

 CapSU Dum ROD initiates 38th campus faculty symposium Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College  through the Research Office Department led by Dr. Maryneth Barrios, initiated the concluded 38th campus faculty symposium held on July 26, 2022 at the Conference Room, Administration building. Two completed research papers from social science category were presented to wit: Academic Performance of TES Grantees of Mrs. Jezel Apocero and Mrs. Mary Joy Silvino, and Homecoming Journey: Lived Experiences of Lifelong Learners of Prof. Erlyn Lauron, and four from biological category. The said research symposium was evaluated by Dr.  Andrew Leo Biclar, Director, Research Social Science, Dr. Emely Escala, Director for Poultry and Livestock, and Dr. Aljean Vasquez. Present were the VP for External Affairs and Linkages, Dr. Mary Ann Martelino and Ms Jennifer Montero, Desk Officer for Internationalization activities of the middle East, Africa and Asia, faculty and staff of CapSU Dumarao headed by Dr. Marie Jean Penson, the satellite college director. The center of the talk was to disseminate internationalization activities for students and faculty, and did ocular visit of the campus.   CapSU-Dum grad students attend Job Placement Orientation and Workshop Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College graduating students from three departments, Criminology, Teacher Education, and Agriculture attended 2022 face to face job place orientation and workshop on May 12-13, 2022. With the theme, Guiding you to your full Potential, the activity aimed to  equip graduating students of  the knowledge and skills essentials  for their future professional career development with the help of  invited  resource persons. The said activity was led by Guidance and Counselling Office adhering to health protocols.

Chan, Miseda, Sedotes bag 2nd place during 2022 DNC Cookfest Competition        Jose Ag Chan, Hanna Mae Miseda and Therese Francoise Sedotes from Capiz State University, Dumarao-  Doctor  of Veterinary Medicine Department bagged Second Place during Darag Native Chicken Cookfest Competition held on April 21, 2022 at Iloilo Science and Technology University, La Paz, Iloilo City. The competition with the theme, Padayon: Sustainable Economy Amidst Pandemic through the Native Chiken Technology is a step in  working to the goal of WESVAARDEC, the sponsor of the aforementioned competition, to  have a sustainable quality DNC that would sustain the whole Region VI.     The proud coaches, Dr. Leah Inggalla and Dr. Maryneth Barrios attended the  awarding ceremony  held on May 13, 2022 at Park Inn Radisson Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
