CapSU Dumarao Conducts Community Extension Service Program by: Irel Hallarsis Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College conducted a two-day Livelihood Disaster Preparedness Training and Literacy last November 7-8, 2019, Brgy. Codingle Dumarao, Capiz headed by Dr. Nelinda V. Duero, Chairman of Extension Services. The program was attended by the Brgy. Codingle Officials, residents and several outsiders. On the first day of the program, November 7,2020, the faculties of CapSU Dumarao conducted a symposium and discussed several topics such as Gender and Development, Common Poultry Diseases and Management, Poultry Production Management, and Disaster Preparedness and Literacy. Each of the 4 departments of CapSU Dumarao brough faculty representatives that served as speakers of the day, namely: Ms. Jezel F. Sucias of Teacher Education Department, Dr. Leah A. CapSU Dumarao Conducts Mandatory Drug Testing Orientation By: Lady Mae Olmedo As a support on President Duterte’s War on Drugs and CHED Memorandum Order No. 18 series of 2018 or the implementing guidelines for the Conduct of Drug Testing of students in all Higher Education Institutions, Capiz State University’s OSA conducts a mandatory Drug Testing Orientation in all campuses of CapSU. Aimed to inform the students and faculty, University OSA Director Dr. Ian B. Arcega gave the substantial  mechanics of how Mandatory Drug Testing works. The orientation was held last March 3, 2020 at Miriam Santiago Hall, Capiz State University Dumarao Satellite College. Dr. Arcega presented the salient points of conducting Random Drug Testing to students and staff of the University. CAPIZ STATE UNIVERSITY, DUMARAO SATELLITE COLLEGE JOINS 2020 NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION by: Renalyn Cabillete “Juana, desisyon mo ay mahalaga sa kinabukasan ng bawat isa, ikaw na Juana.” Simply means that women portray the most important roles in our society, and that they are a part of it, too. Every March is a month allotted for people to give emphasis that women also has a right for everything. They should be respected regardless of social status, race, religion, etc., and that men and women must be given equal opportunities. “We Make Change Work for Women” is the theme for the 2020 Women’s Month Celebration. The event was headed by Mrs. Elna Velarde, GAD Chairman, and attended and participated by the faculty and staff of CapSU Dumarao Satellite College together with the students from the 4 different College Departments. PHACC Turns Over Medical Equipment By: Bhea Marie Gaspar and Reynard Gonzales To contribute amount of help to College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) students of Capiz State University (CapSU) Dumarao, both public and private hospitals in the Province of Capiz, donated medical equipment, Nov. 14, 2019. The donors were among the Philippine Pharmacists Association Capiz Chapter (PHACC) including different hospitals such as Dumarao Medicare, Mambusao District Hospital, Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial Hospital, Roxas Doctors Hospital, Tapaz District Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, and Emmanuel Hospital. “We’re very grateful to the participating hospitals as they lend us some of their medical equipment that can really help not just for VetMed students but to all CAPSU Dumarao students.” said Dr. Bede Ozaraga, program chair of CVM.  FLP Local Agri-Related Work Conference 2019 By: Rosmie Enrique CapSU Dumarao Satellite College – The 2nd FLP Local Agri-Related Conference 2019 with the theme “FLP shaping millennial empires for Global Economy through innovative Agricultural and Technological Leadership” took place last November 06, 2019 at the Meriam Defensor Santiago Hall. Prior to the said program , a parade was organized by the school faculties and student leaders. Ms. Ness Marie Secretario, CapSU Dumarao FLP Adviser, gave her welcoming words to mark the start of the event. FLP President, Mr. Martin Basco, also lead a dance presentation together with his associates.
